Cookies, pixels and advertising

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to run the Site, remember your cart and region, understand how visitors use the Site, and deliver and measure advertising.

  • Essential: required for the Site to work, such as your cart, checkout, currency and login. These cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics: help us understand traffic and performance, for example Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics.
  • Advertising: the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel and Pinterest Tag let these platforms show you our ads, build audiences of people who visited the Site, and report on purchases and sign-ups that came from ads. These platforms may combine this data with information they already hold about you under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

  • Use our cookie banner to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time.
  • Adjust or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.
  • Manage ad preferences directly with Meta, Google, TikTok and Pinterest, or opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada.
  • We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising where required by law.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run our business:

  • Shopify: our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which processes order, account and browsing data on our behalf. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
  • Payment processors: such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and any financing providers you choose at checkout.
  • Shipping and insurance: carriers and insurers who deliver and protect your order.
  • Service providers: email marketing, appointment scheduling, customer service, IT and hosting providers.
  • Production partners: setters, casters, engravers, gemological labs and appraisers who help make, certify or service your piece.
  • Marketing and advertising partners: the advertising platforms listed above, and agencies that manage our campaigns under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
  • Business transfers: if we sell, merge or reorganize our business, personal information may be transferred to the new owner under this policy.

Our service providers may only use your information to perform services for us and must protect it.

International transfers, retention and security

Where your information goes. We are based in Canada and sell to customers around the world. Our service providers, including Shopify, may store and process your information in Canada, the United States, Ireland and other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws, and your information may be accessible to their courts and authorities. Where GDPR applies, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

How long we keep it. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Order and transaction records are kept for at least seven years for tax and accounting purposes. Custom design files and appraisal records may be kept longer so we can service, resize or reproduce your piece. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. We then delete or anonymize it.

How we protect it. We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards, including encrypted checkout, access controls and staff confidentiality. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law.

Your rights and choices

Everyone. You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent to its use (subject to legal or contractual limits). To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first.

Email marketing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and only send marketing messages with your consent. You will still receive messages about orders and appointments.

Quebec residents. You also have the right to request that your information be deleted or de-indexed, and to receive computerized information in a structured, commonly used format.

EU and UK residents. You also have the right to erasure, to restrict or object to processing (including direct marketing), and to data portability. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

US residents. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those laws define it. Some advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under these laws. You can opt out through our cookie banner, the GPC signal, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Children. The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If you are not satisfied with our response in Canada, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
